If you’re a self-described “straight acting” gay guy, does that mean you’re actively trying to seem straight?

If so, what exactly do you get out of it? You’re not straight and you’re lying. Do you think that manliness is a heteronormative, butch virtue exclusive to breeders? Have you ever considered just being yourself? Does portraying a straight guy feed into some fetish for straight machismo? Do you think you’re advantaged over less “straight-acting” gay men around you because you act this way?

I’m fascinated by the concept of a gay man having a “straight” personality. Male lesbians also fascinate me.
