Just because the person who submitted this doesn’t like the way some gay men speak, doesn’t mean anyone should feel ashamed for their “brand of gay”. To the person who submitted this, I would ask: “what about the way some gays speak makes you uncomfortable? Do they sound too gay for you? Do you feel they are perpetuating a stereotype that the hetero-world ridicules? What’s more important to you – that gays can express themselves freely without hate/prejudice/ridicule, or that the hetero-world accepts us (even if that means we have to tone ourselves down and turn ourselves into an immitation of the heteros themselves?) Whoever submitted this needs to think about these questions, rather than criticising people who are too stereotypically gay for him/her.
